Royal Canin Dog Encyclopedia

Created under the direction of Prof. Dominique Grandjean et Dr. Jean-Pierre Vasaire.

This encyclopedia is the fruit of a close collaboration with many specialists, researchers of the European and American veterinary schools, and nutritionists of the Royal Canin Research Centre in Saint-Nolff ( France ). It provides a fundamental advance in knowledge of the dog, insofar as for the first time it integrates the differences induced by the extreme diversity of “sizes/weights” in the canine species. These differences between small, medium, and large breed dogs have consequences as regards health, feeding, and the nature of man/dog relations. This Encyclopedia, spanning an extraordinary 638 pages with full colour pictures, is a must for any dog lover's collection.

Royal Canin Cat Encyclopedia

Created under the direction of Prof. Bernard-Marie Paragon et Dr. Jean-Pierre Vasaire.

The Cat Encyclopedia is an exhaustive and scientifically solid compendium, ranging from breeds that have spanned the centuries and whose origins are lost in the mists of time to the recently created breeds, discussing the ever-present symbolism of the cat, the cat's social and working roles, its behaviour, physiology, illnesses, and specific nutritional requirements. But, as is well-known, cats will do only as they please, so even in this encyclopedia the scientific information never strays far from the world of beauty and mystery specific to the master of the house, the animal of the 21 st century. Our passion and reverence for cats is highly evident in this beautiful full-colour 444-page encyclopedia.
